AI Vision Inspection & Automated Quality Control
CANS applies machine vision and AI as part of the production system, not as an isolated camera demo. The engineering scope can include imaging, lighting, edge processing, model inference, PLC handshaking, reject mechanisms, traceability and quality-data integration.
AI vision is appropriate where conventional rule-based inspection becomes difficult because defects vary in shape, texture, orientation or appearance.

Typical Manufacturing Inspection Applications
Applications can include surface-defect detection, missing-component detection, assembly verification, orientation checking, colour or coating inspection, OCR and character verification, label inspection, packaging inspection, foreign-object detection, counting, classification and selected dimensional checks.
The inspection method is selected around the process. Some applications are better solved with conventional machine vision, some with AI, and some with a hybrid of deterministic rules and learned models.
Image Engineering
Camera type, field of view, lens, working distance, exposure and lighting geometry are engineered to make the defect visible before model training begins.
Industrial Integration
PLC triggers, conveyor timing, reject stations, safety logic, line speed and traceability are treated as part of the inspection system.
Model Validation
False reject, false accept, class balance, representative defect samples and production drift are measured so model confidence is tied to real quality risk.
Quality Data Should Not Stop at Pass / Fail
Inspection results can be linked to product IDs, batches, recipes, machine conditions and timestamps so quality information becomes useful for traceability and root-cause analysis.
Connected to MES and Automation
CANS can integrate vision results with PLC/SCADA, production tracking, OEE and MES so inspection becomes part of the manufacturing workflow rather than a standalone workstation.
